1

This is the entrance point to the Waterfall Walk. Here you pay at the cubicle on your right, before parking through these gates.

2

At the start of the walk, a notice board to the left of the starting point has general information about the walk. There is also a Warning Board to the left of this, (see pic.) explaining the potential dangers, which the wise take note of!

3

Through a gate, the river is on the right, and a second gate,
follow the path and steps throughout.
Pass the money tree on the left...

4

Close-up of bent coppers...

5

During wet weather the paths can become quite treacherous, and slippy. Be very careful. Approach the bridge,...

6

...cross the river now on the left of you; and shortly, a vantage point looms up on the left.

7

Approaching the Bridge at Pecca falls, and various vantage points up the steps.

8

Eventually through a barred gate into a field, where you will find a perfectly placed shop offering reasonably priced refreshments. (Seasonal)

(the ice cream here is highly recommended)
Once you are replete and refreshed, you head off...

9

Past a sign saying "Waterfalls walk Thornton Force (third of a mile) Beezley Falls".

10
After five minutes, you should have the main falls in front of you and to the right.
Having taken your photographs from all angles, you can make your way up a very steep path, and steps to the top of the falls.
11
Next, for your comfort and safety, a small metal bridge about 5 yards long and leading down to the main bridge to your right over the river. Head uphill directly ahead of you. You have now traversed the worst of the hill climbing. Thankfully, there is seating at the top of the hill !!!
12
Through a gate marking the route to Beezley Falls, turning right along the path.
13
Next through a gate, coupled with a swing gate...
14
...on through a large gate into a farmyard marked by the waterfalls sign.
15
Over a stepped stile topped by a small gate. Directly in front of you in the distance, are the White Scar Cave car park and...
16
...a little to the left is Ingleborough, towering 724 meters high.

17
Now, at the bottom of the hill, exit the field through a metal swing gate adjacent to a large metal gate...
18
...and head straight across the road, following the well signposted route.
19

Not long after is a new refreshment centre, (but no toilet facilities) situated about halfway round.

It is clearly signposted and has outdoor seating. Here they sell local dairy ice creams, fresh coffee or hot chocolate and homemade cakes.

Now head for Baxenghyll Gorge, which is next on the trail downhill.

20

Don't trip over the Danger sign

21
Baxenghyll Gorge. A viewing point over the river on the left is a good photo opportunity.
22
Continue along well established paths
to a small iron gate, with the river on your left, at the bridge, cross over, and head up along the path.
23 You will eventually end up on this track and wend your way towards a metal gate.
24

A quarry sign on your left, and pass an old disused industrial site on your left.

Carry on down the main metalled track
(see picture)

25

Through a grassy shady glade, and out through another metal gate to the edge of the village.

26 Return to the village passing this sign.
I can recommend the Icelandic Cod at the Fish and Chip Shop!
Watch the vide - See what you're missing! >>> HERE
Toilets are at the start (just outside the entrance) There are no toilets along this route. Go to the village Car Park toilets.
